The Scaffolding Challenge:

The project brief provided by our clients was for Upright Scaffolding Christchurch to install camera towers for the upcoming summer cricket season at the world-class South Island cricket venue – Hagley Oval.

The specific scaffolding needs required of this project were long term scaffolding hire, temporary fencing, high levels of health and safety compliance, efficient install -and the utmost respect for the high profile site while remaining cost-effective.

The Project Detail:

The Hagley Oval cricket calendar starts on November 26th with the Super Smash 20/20 domestic series and includes Black Caps International test matches against Bangladesh and South Africa.

With all matches televised live and for the ultimate filming experience – Upright Scaffolding Christchurch was called upon to erect several camera towers.

The challenge for this install lay in the tight timeframe of consent documentation required by the Christchurch council and the venue itself having full access to erect the scaffold systems.

With only four days to complete this mammoth undertaking, the team at Upright delivered on schedule with the boys even getting the opportunity to witness the Canterbury Kings warming up and training on a splendid Spring Day in Christchurch.
