Scaffold of the Week

It’s a tough job but somebody’s got to do it. One of our teams spent time out on Wharf 7, Lyttelton Port earlier this week, building out scaffolding to help with eq repairs to the wharf. The sun shone, the water was clear and the view great. Who wouldn’t want to be working outside?

Location aside, they had some quick thinking to do when they discovered the wharf piles are near-impenetrable.

Instead of fixing to the piles as originally planned, they redesigned the scaffold to be braced around the them where possible, and got sign off for an above-deck counterweight where the concrete restricted access.
