Upright Aiming High in 2019

We’ve made some changes over the past 18 months, all designed to improve the service
we provide to customers throughout the South Island.

NEW DIRECTORS
On 1 April, my brother Chris and I became sole directors of Upright Scaffolding, a
company that’s operated in Christchurch since 1949 and that our father, Warwick bought
into in 1981.

EXPANDING REACH
Chris and I are intent on extending Upright’s reach up and down the South Island. Many
of our industrial and infrastructure customers operate on multiple sites, so the move is
intended to help better serve them. We are already operating in Nelson and Timaru and
have plans to service customer sites further south.

INVESTMENT
We understand that being well-trained, well-equipped and reliable is critical in this
business so we’re investing heavily in our team, their training and in enabling technology
to ensure that Upright can deliver consistently great scaffolding solutions at scale
throughout the South Island.
